How to Store Ground Beef in the Freezer!!!

I seen this life hack a few years ago and we’ve been using it ever since. I wish I could give credit to the mama that shared it originally but it’s been so long I have no idea who it was.

Ground beef doesn’t last long in my house its so versatile you can make so many different things with it. So having it on hand and easy accessible is a must in my busy home. All I have to do is pull out a pack and put in in water for 5 mins and BAM, thawed out just like that. I’m not going to lie when I first started cooking for my own family I would just store it in big blobs in a frozen ziploc bag and call it good. ( That’s how my grandmother did it, so that’s how I did it, and it would take HOURS to thaw out. But thanks to Pinterest another mama blogger shared this and have been doing it ever since, HUGE TIME SAVER in my home! So here it is my : Ground beef storage hack.

Before the processs

1. Put even amount of meat in each bag (I usually a pound to a pound and half, just eyeball it)

2. Flatten it completely, I always leave a part of the bag open let all of the air out of bags

Flattened ground beef

3.Last Step is stack it in your freezer and when you need some ground beef for dinner just pull one out and cover with water in the sick and leave it for 5 minutes. It will be thawed out and ready to go for dinner!

Ground beef stacked in the freezer, creating more space!!!
